I guess it depends on what kind of driving you do.  When I lived in
Portland, where there's a good amount of stop and go traffic, I would
get around 100 miles before switching to reserve.  I now live in Idaho
where most of my riding is in 5th gear on open roads.  I too was
surprised to see my reserve light go on at 130 miles.  I thought there
was something wrong with my fuel sender.  This amazing number occurred
on my last ride where I kept a fairly steady 65 mph.  I'm running a
Dunlop OEM up front so, I don't have any speedo ratio modifications. 
I'm taking another long ride today and will see if I can duplicate that
mileage.
