Hey Tyler
I've got the problem now. After installing the stage 7 kit and pulling my
hair out as to why #4 cylinder was running way rich (which I posted) I
finally determined the problem was in fact the emulsion tube in the one carb
along with the fact that the diaphram retaining tube and lock had worked
loose and allowed the slide to rotate along with needle etc.In fact even
before the kit I had the same problem but realy noticed it with the
increased tuning demands with the kit.The web site for the Factory config 10
and 30 kits gave me the answer (don't have the address handy but will find
it). They offer a detailed explanation and pics of exactly what I was
experiencing even after decreasing float height by 1 mm and detailing the
carbs. The stage 7 needles exasperated the problem in the fact that they like
the Factory needles are a precision taper.Factory offers replacement jets
for the 36 and 38 mm Mikuni's but unfortunately not for Mr Max.Hence $28 for
the tube with VMOA discount and $82 for the slide and daiphram assembly.Bob

Bob, I had the same problem a few years back, float level was a tad to high
on problem carb, also cleaned needle look like some crap was embedded in it.
cured problem.
