My '85 is back on the road. I do have an electrical problem that I'd
like to discuss with the list. When I turn "on" the ignition key, sometimes
the vboost servo cycles, but most times not. Since I don't have a left
scoop, I've found that by jiggling the mass of wires that go into the
vboost black box, I can get the servo to cycle. So I have isolated the root
cause to be a loose wire. But which one? Does anyone know which color
wires actuate the servo? Since I have to go in and replace/ resolder wires
I might as well install a "vboost switch." Which wires should I connect to
the switch? And in the unlikely event I fry my black box, does anyone have
a spare?
Regarding those FIAMM horns on Tim Jackson's page, does anyone
know the part numbers and prices? Mine doesn't work, so I plan on
installing something a bit louder. Any thoughts, guys?
As an aside I still need one piece to complete the bike - does anyone
have a spare left scoop? I don't care what color it is, as I plan on polishing
or chroming over the winter.
