Kraig,
Yes ........ oil changes, spark plugs .. etc .. even changing the rear
wheel is covered in the owner's manual, (they don't cover carb sync or
valve adjustment .. but they do tell you to torque your rear axle nut
to 110 lbs instead of 85 like in the service manual etc) ... but all
this stuff is also covered in the Service Manual in the front section
... Section 2 - Periodic Inspections and Adjustments ..........
Actually, it sounds like Uli didn't get an Owner's Manual with his
bike. There .. you have been "Corrested" ........

It looks like Yamaha service manuals are drying up all over the place
but I just checked Motocom ... http://www.motocom.com/ .. and they
have them ... (the price is going up) ... LIT-11616-VM-13 Factory
Service Manual Price: $59.95 Description: Provides service, repair and
maintenance for VMX12 VMAX (1985-2000) .......... There is still that
one online too that someone posted ... http://caber.com/vmax/
......... Uli could download all the section 2 he wanted ........

No Mario ... memory isn't the first thing to go ......... hmmmmmm
.......
