SAENG/TA (www.saeng.com) sells mounts for radar detectors. The one I have
($35-$40) mounts to the handlebar (I have a K&N drag bar) with basically a
hose clamp. It sits just above the clutch master cylinder, just to the left
of the small windscreen. The detector is velcroed to the mount very
securely. I just ran the power directly to the battery, although I intend to
change that. It's too easy to forget to turn the detector off. I routed the
speaker wire under the faux tank cover with a plug for the helmet speaker.
To remove it, you unplug the power & speaker wires from the detector, & pull
the velcro apart.
It all works pretty well & isn't too noticeable.
