What is the point in changing to a chain ??
All that heart break with having to lube the swines and set them to the
correct tension... and surely all the car manufacturers out there cannot be
wrong ... I cannot remember tha last time I saw a car with a final chain
drive ????? When are bike manufacturers going to get their act together ??
As Far as the handling goes I can only agree. I have seen all the write ups
in the bike press decribing how bad the V-max's handling is, and I am sure
that it is a rumour put about by the V max owners club to keep them from
becoming too popular ????
I love the feeling of pure adrenaline, horsing the brute through corners ...
I have even had to learn how to use counter steer to get it over into the
bends faster .... not for wimps!!!!! All the shortcomings of the frame and
suspension just add to the excitement - real biking - not 180 mph plastic
crotch rocket track day fantasies.
The best fun you can habe with your clothes on !!!!! especially here in
scotland with those twisty highland roads ... heaven .... and when you stop
at the green welly boot shop in Tyndrum what bike do they all look at????
The V Max of course mine is usually the only one there ..... it is getting so
bad my biking mates are threatening to buy - dare I say it?? - Buells ......
sad guys are they not?? .....

What carb mods are needed when I fit a set of laser pro stock slip ons (race
variety) to my Max?? and .... is it worthwhile fitting a stage 1 dynojet, and
are the K&N filters worthwhile???
