Hello All,
I went to start my bike this year for the first time recently. I needed to
charge my battery , which I did. I never prepped it for the N.J. winter and
had stored it with very little gas in the tank. I know this is a bad move. So
I go to start it and it runs fine with choke on but every time I go to give
it gas it wants to stall, I let the throttle go and it stays running. Could
it be the fuel filter? Any and all suggestions would be appreciated
Also I have to bring up a point that might be a sore spot to some.
My bike was bought new in 1990, as an '89 leftover. When I bought it I bought
it because at the time it was what I considered to be the fastest bike on the
market. I loved it the last ten years. It still looks brand new and has
served me well over the years. But now with the Hyabusa out there and the
ZX12, I have to say I am very tempted to go and pick one up. What is the
opinion of you guys and gals out there about these bikes compared to the
V-MAX and what is the approximate value of a V-MAX with less than 7000 miles
on it. I think I'm gonna sell. The dealer says trade in I'd get 2400 to 2800
bucks for it . I personally think I could get more. Please respond off line.
And thanks for your time.
