Why not send Yamaha some ideas On the design for the NEW Vmax. We all
have our wants why not let them know what they are. They already have
belt drive on the Road star maybe they would consider it on the Vmax.
Who knows what they would think of a mass mailing from all the people
that know and love the Vmax. And who better to design something than the
people that have been redesigning them for years.

drive is one of the reasons I bought my 97. I recently saw some Boss Hoss,
Big Brute & Canon bikes in Sturgis. They use an automatic transmission. The
Canon has to use a chain drive or else it rips the belts apart. The Big
Brute had the torque converter set real soft for the belt drive. I have seen
many belts for blowers shred under heavy loads at races. I will stick with
