Vic, their getting better, but still have a way to go. As time goes by
the composition changes and they become more brittle. With the advances
in lighter and stronger materials it'd be best to get a new one. Plus
their quieter. Of course for some who think they don't need one, that
their head is hard enough, I hope I don't have to be the one to try and
identify them from whats left of their face. I still remember from 34
yr's. ago when I got hit in the eye by a insect at night, was doing
about 35-40. It hurt like hell and couldn't see. Just shut the throttle
off and came to a stop. Lucky enough it was a straight road and no
traffic. After that I went for a better helmet and wearing clear safety
glasses at night. Some people laughed until it happened to them and had
a change of heart, wasn't so stupid after all!
