semi synth oil

has anyone had experience with semi synth oil, particularly : specro  20/50
 im wondering if it will make the clutch slip
 i just changed to it and think my clutch is slipping  in my 99 max could be tire is 
spinning  more now because the roads  are cold its 65 out in the afternoon  and 45 
when i ride to work
