What type oil would be the best? I mean, sj,sh the type not the brand
or weight. I've been using yamalube 20w50, what other oils are about the
same or better.
I've read every thing you have written about brands and weights but have
not seen anything written on application.
Thanks
CALVIN

Kraig,
Where I live it is hot as well 90-100 degrees every day and I use Silkolene
15-40
which is the oil of choice around here and it works great .A quart/1000 mi.
sounds like a lot to me I would try a 20-50 oil and see what happens.
Take care Marius

Subject: Help what oil.

> I am deployed in ALBQ right now. My Max is giving me fits. I switched to
20W50 Kendoll oil recomended by Dale Walker(I know, I know). The problem I
am having is that my Max is drinking about a quart of oil about every 1000
miles. There is no oil leaks and no smoke in the exhaust. Mr Max starts
right up runs fine, but every time I rump on the throttle, that red light
comes on. I check the view window, and she is another 1/2 quart low!!!!
HELP!!!! What is the weight of Moble1 I should be using for day temps of
aroune 95+ degree. I have left my owners manuel in El Paso so I have no
idea what weight to buy. Also do you think this will cure the oil
consumption problem if I go back to Moble1?
