Seat problem

Hello,  Could someone please help me out. I need to know how you get the front half of the seat off, because my battery is dead.I have owned it since May and have been waiting for the manual since then.I have been riding a long time and never came across something like this.I bet it is really easy trick to it and I will feel really stupid.Please help!!!
