If you only replacing the springs, all you should have to do is make
sure all the air is out of the forks and remove the top valve (where the
air nipple is) with a breaker bar (I almost stripped mine using a normal
rachet) then take out the spacer bar and use a coathanger to get the
spring out.  Be carefull pulling the spring out as its got a washer that
sits between it and the spacer above it and you don't want the washer to
fall back in the forks.  When I did mine, I just cut the spacer that
Racetech provided in half (it was originally 22 inches, so I have 11 in.
on either side, and its pretty stiff).  I believe thats all there is to
it.  I would ride it for awhile before thinking about putting any air in
them.  I don't have any air and mine is almost too stiff, thats with 2
1/2 turns on the emulator.

I don't claim to be any kind of expert, so if i'm wrong i'm sure i'll be
corrected.  As far as your kick stand...dont know...sorry.
