The problem with putting the sensor in a hose is that you will only get the
temp for that hose.  Either one cylinder bank, the other cylinder bank or if
you go to the hose that goes to the radiator you will not get a proper
reading till the thermostat opens.  The stock location gives the temp after
the two cylinder hoses have mixed.
