Need you help finding problem. My Vmax has been acting sluggish so i thought
i'd track the problem down. So heres what i've found.
my fuel filter was not filling with gas and the pump was only "clicking" a few
times. next i disconnected the the fuel line going to the pump and turned the
key on. AGAIN only a few clicking sounds. Next I disconnected the fuel line on
the pump the goes to the carbs. turned the key on. NOW the pump clicks
continuiously!! Next i put my finger over the fuel pump line coming out of the
pump that goes to the carbs and the clicking stopped. took my finger off the
line then back on. This time the pump only clicked a few times then stopped.
Next i took apart the fuel pump and looked at the valves. i didn't know what
to look for so i just looked at the valves. thought they looked ok and put the
pump back together.
Well guys! what do i do next?
