Scott, you'd be suprised how hot a max gets. The head of the screw on
the gage is 205, the first redline is 220, you don't want to know what
the other is. Its a wonder that a max doesn't blow from being that hot.
The stock fan switch is supposed to come on at 218-222, mine didn't
until 230 plus. Thats when I found out about the fan switch replacement
from Joe Smith. Yes my fan is still working after 12 yr's. So anyone
that thinks a motor is ok running that hot, nope! Would you let your car
get that hot? I don't think so. Adding a manual switch your having to
take your eyes off the road, it takes less than a second for somone to
pull in front of you, hey another parts bike.
