Vmax vs Fazer
I was driving down the highway at work today and started to think about
what orginally attracted me
to the Vmax. What really caught my eye about this bike the "very" first
time I saw a picture was
the beautiful engine. I really respect the Yamaha Fazer for its up to
date cyclinder head design
(5 valves per cyclinder) but the engine with all its technical glory
doesn't hold a candle to the
look of the Vmax engine. I look at the picture of the Fazer engine, I
see a high tech "clone"
inline 4-cyclinder, I look at the Vmax engine and I see an engine that
has no visual equal.
If looks alone won races, the Vmax would have no equal.
The other things that caught my eye about the Vmax was the fake air
scoops, the big rear tire
and the HUGE looking exhaust system. During my drive home with my newly
purchased Vmax
I had no fewer than 5 people comment about how good lookin the bike was,
these comments
really made me feel better about the purchase I had just made [ I had
decided that buying a
motorcycle at the age of 44 was a silly luxury and the only way I would
do it was if I paid
cash and was completely out of debt] ..........
I'd love to hear anyone eleses stories about why they bought their
1st Vmax.........every year
their will be new bikes, I was VERY tempted to buy a Kawasaki ZRX-1100,
but I wasn't
happy how far I had to reach for the handle bars.....after driving to my
local Yamaha dealer
and seeing my 1st Vmax in person I was hooked, I took one look, and I
said to myself
"this bike has Steve Moore wrote all over it :)"
