  True, but if you compensate for your reaction time you can shift at the desired rpm, 
mine is set for 9000rpm and I set my rev limiter to 9500(for testing shift points), I 
never hit the limiter when I shifted at 9000, but that's my reaction time others may 
be different. trial and error will find the prefect setting.,you can sub a variable 
pot in place of the chip for full adjustably.
