Dex cool is still a type of Ethylene Glycol.
I would be somewhat sceptical of the the claims of any new type of
product. I have a habit of letting someone else be the Guinea Pig. The
products I have passed up so far: Duralube, Slick 50, ZMax, etc. I don't
feel like I missed anything major. I have heard through various sources
that Low Tox coolant is not nearly as good at heat absorbtion and transfer
as Ethylene Glycol. The Maxes cooling system is so small that I would be
very cautious about putting some new solution into it. I still say the best
solution is a 50/50 mix of green coolant and distilled water, flushed every
fall.
I'll say it again: Dex Cool is absolute crap!!!!!!!
