First winter I had my bike it had to be kept OUTSIDE... I used it (almost)
every day & kept it clean & covered etc.. never had a problem with freezing
fluids (just decaying alloy).  Didn't having 'freezing' days in the UK
compared to the those in the States/Canada, but there were definitely times
when I wondered if parts of me were going to break off ;-)
