Hi Marcus,

Check when you turn on the key, if you hear three very distinctive buzzes. First the 
one fully opening the v-boost, the second one closing it once more and a third (very 
short) to remove the slackened cable, totalling something like BZZZZZ, BZZZZZ and BZZ. 
If you don't hear the very clear three movements you might have some problem with your 
V-boost.

On the other hand if you don't feel a clear lack of power over the 6.5 K rpm, the 
system is working. Another thing is if you have it properly adjusted and for that 
check your service manual or Paul's web.
