Kraig, Remember, that as long as you use ANY brand of oil that meets the specs in the owners manual, the oil burning is YAMAHA's problem. Don't let talk of brands cloud the issue,,,, dealer and reps love to shift responsibility anywhere but onto their own heads. Keep hammering them on the point that it is the engine not the oil that is the problem. What would someone do in an area that didn't have "super-dupper XZX" oil for sale anywhere????? That is why there are Specifications on oil.
