I switched over to Redline full synthetic oil at 4000 miles to give the rings 
a chance to seat properly.

I don't want to start another "oil" war here, but I do have to say that 
Redline is a far superior oil than most of the other stuff on the market - 
simply because it uses polyl esters (instead of cheaper polyalphaolephins) as 
athe foundation for its base stock.

Esters are more durable and consistent.

I do use Mobil 1  75W 90, though, in my differential - with great results!

It's all a matter of preference.
