Hmmm. Good question.
You may want to investigate the cause (dirt, scatches, etc).
I have 13K on my 1990. Still on the original fork seals.

It looks like a front end rebuild is in my immediate future. The front
left fork tube is leaking
so badly it looks like I may be getting some fork oil on the front
brakes :(
I've pulled zero wheelies since buying my Vmax back in july of this
