Don't want to go too deep into this subject for I could end up in trouble,
but basically the first thing that goes wrong when you over-rev are the
pistons. there is a very clearly defined max. piston linear speed and the
bigger the pistons are the less linear speed they can achieve. Before I
installed the SPA rev counter I went over the 11000 mark without me
realising too many times for my liking and I'm sure my poor engine was not
very pleased...........
