I don't know about the UFO carbs but the PCW ones come pre-tuned so you have
a good starting point. When I first put them on, the Max just run with great
power with just a minor flat spot around 4k. It was not perfect but it was
running good. Next day at the dyno, the carbs were tuned properly and the
initial settings were not far off my final setup.

I looked at both systems and was concerned about the outboard velocity
stacks on the UFO and the buried stacks on the PCW. What set my mind on UFO
was the amount of dyno work that Jon Cornell has done to support his design,
the great look of the outboard stacks and the highly polished inlets.
Jon has been a great help in getting my Vmax tuned and offers a free tune at
his shop.
John Gainey is a great guy, produces a good product as well and he and Jon
are friendly competitors.
It comes down to what you want and like. But FCR's give you the most hp
increase for the buck w/o engine mods. The FCR's are fussy and require more
effort to tune but in tune they are great.
