Pop the seat fill access forward. On the side of the bike you will find a
black plastic fin that extends to the rear of the bike. At the point of this
fin is a Philips head screw. You have to pull these screws. One on each
side. Then on the rear of the seat inside the fill cap area, there will be
four 10 mm bolts that hold the rear of the seat to the mounting bracket.
They are a lot easier to get to if you remove the over flow rubber bucket
from the fill neck. Just remove your gas cap and pull the rubber boot out.
There is a spring steel clip attached to the lip of the fill spout that helps
the overfill boot keep it's shape. You might have to pull this first in
order to get the boot out. With the boot out you will be able to see the 10
mm bolts holding the seat on, two on each side. The 10 mm reach with the
bent neck form the stock tool bag works pretty good for this. Some bikes you
also have to remove the four 10 mm bolts that hold on the pop access cover
because you are going to have to slide the main seat backwards to dismount
the front mounting peg form it's recess. When you pull the stock battery you
are going to have to brake some cannon connectors. Make sure you know what
ones go back together. They will fit in several locations, but Mister Max
will not start. I learned this one the hard way when I pulled my battery and
waited a month for a gel battery to replace it with. Then it was an exercise
in how many different ways you can put together three interchangeable
connectors. It took me three times to get the sequence right. DON "T PULL
THE LEADS OUT OF THE COILS. In stead pull the relay bracket. It too has two
10 mm bolts holding it down. If you have any questions feel free to give me
a call.
