Need some coments here and Eric thanks.I wound up trying Erics trick of
trimming the velocity stacks from the stock airbox and inserting them in the
stage seven filters.
The low end performance and in fact the entire power curve will scare you
with the difference in performance.A little different jetting was required
to compensate for less ? , More flow ? but well worth the effort. Basically
what is happening is a lot smoother and directed air flow as in straight
velosity stacks make for a tremendous difference in performance (especially
low to mid range).
I guess the next question is filters be dam*ed does anyone know where to buy
velosity stacks that will fit the MK carbs and fit under the faux
tank.Nothing worse than an old man with to much time on his hands.Bob H
