Sometimes corrosion develops inside this connector and causes heat and the
plastic housing to melt.
Obviously, the wires have been soldered by the previous owner (mine
are also soldered)

the "Arlen Ness" bullets ground themselves, if you have the ones with the "Screw
on" lenses, be careful with the bulb sockets, they're so cheaply made, they get
out of shape when you change the bulbs and cause shorts)
I know they're NOT cheap, but the inside of them (bulbs and sockets) are a joke,
also be careful when you tighten the screw (where the wires go through) they're
pot metal and break easy.
