Well we just had the first ( I think) 50th state expo this weekend.
Everything from car and bike shows to hydraulics to stereo sound-offs to
bikini/hunk contests..............oh and a DynoJet Dyno SHOOTOUT!!!
It started at 10 and the wifey and I got there around 2ish. The top dog at
the time was a new 1200 Ninja with 168 hp (quite impressive just a pipe and
jet kit). The guy was all smug in the corner pretty content with his run.
The Dyno guys saw me and asked if I was going to run. When I said yes he
just looked at the Ninja guy and said "it is all over now!!!" You could see
a big question mark came over his face as if he was saying to himself "you
gotta be kiddin". Well that question was soon wiped off for good when the
ole girl pulled a 199.5. I was pretty happy but only .5hp away from my
personal goal. As the day went on I decided to pull the can and short pipe
and give it another go with just an uncapped Walker/Hindle header. Can you
say LOUD??? Well it was good for a couple of ponies and I passed
200................202.2. Very happy.
Can't help to think that it was doing alittle better than that. I had to do
two pulls both times I was on the dyno. The first run both times the bike
would not hold and the back tire kept trying to move around. Will post the
sheets when I get them.
