I just got my bike back from Rio Yamaha in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The
mechanic have placed Yamaha 4 oil in it. They told me to run it for at least
500 miles and they are going to readdress the oil consumption problem at that
time. They treated me pretty good, they replaced the wiring harness to my
rear tail light that mysteriously fried itself at no charge. They said they
could replace my starter switch if I could produce the mangle return spring.
I don't know if you guys remember, but that spring now resides in the desert
off of highway I-25, just south of Albuquerque. If anyone could provide me
with a miracle and produce this spring and retaining ball from a parts bin, I
would be more than willing to pay shipping and a hound dog fee. If I could
show Rio Yamaha a mangle spring, they will replace the throttle housing with
a new one. Any genie's out there?
