The '85 that showed up on the showroom floor in the "Making of the Vmax"
video was also dark Amethyst. Is that the same color as my '93? Just a
note on Color-Rite, I got some touch up paint from them (Dk. Violet
cocktail #1) as specified on their website for a '93 and found that it's
not the same color. It's lighter and doesn't have the violet metal
flakes as the my original color. I can clearly see the color
differences where I used it. I suppose it's better than no paint. I
had some chips down to the metal on my faux tank caused by a key chain
by the original owner. I used the rest of it to paint in the YAMAHA
logo on my polished scoops.
