Phil,
i know you have MUCH more power than i do but i'm running a "DD"
variant that you may be interested in.
what i did was the standard "DD" with a fresh stock AND a PCW
heavy duty spring.
this set-up give total release at 1/2 of stock motion and unreal
reconnect when you let it back out. my little 1200 '85 will pick up the
front end going to 4th on this set-up!! and i have stock lngh rear shocks
and the front end dropped a total of 3"!!!
before you go lock-up give this little # a try.
           steve
