Good evening gentlemen,
My name is Darius; thought I'd introduce myself as a relatively new member
of the list. My first bike was an 82 honda magot v45, and having replaced
the motor to find the replacement making very audible valve train noise, it
came time for a new bike: a '96 Vmax (Cdn red). So far its been great (I
can see why there's a cult following for these bikes). I do see where
improvements are due (ie suspension, seating, etc.), but I find that the
process of playing with those issues is almost as enjoyable as the benefits
gained.
Aside from rambling though, I have a question:
I had the side covers polished, and i am wondering if it is necessary to
have them clear coated / clear powder coated to prevent oxidation, or will
the occational hand polish suffice for maintenance?
