Eric my brother,
True HID or Xenon systems are a different anamal from halogen. The
comparison I ment to make was between a 100 watt halogen which takes 10 amps
to run and only gives Color Temp. 2800 Kelvin & Brightness of 800 Lumens.
As opposed to true HID which has a Color Temp. 4300 Kelvin & Brightness of
3200 Lumens at only 3 amps consistant. This is the stuff that hign end
Mercedes, Lexus & BMW uses and they use a much smaller lens than 5 1/2". It
is very expensive but we sure could use some more light than we have. How
much would you pay after you hit the deer you couldn't see.
Your friend,
Robbie
PS I hope you guys had great holiday!! Hows the Juice?? Have you had to
refill the bottle yet??
My friend Robbie. Why would you spend the money for a 100 watt light
when you can plug in a 130 watt H4 light ? I personally feel that the
problem with the Vmax light is not the light intensity but the
capability of the 5 1/2 inch lens & reflector to project the light beam
. The bulb that is in my Max now is the same bulb that was in my old XS
1100 . When it was in the 7 inch head light with a Hella lens I never
wished for more light . Now with the same bulb in a 5 1/2 inch head
light it seams that it is about half the light it once was .
Just My observation.
Eric H.
