New issue 3676 by [email protected]: with keyword does not make
variables available inside functions defined within the with block
https://code.google.com/p/v8/issues/detail?id=3676
When using the `with` statement, functions defined within the `with` block
cannot access the variables imported into that scope.
Here's a demo: http://jsfiddle.net/qc1g1x6d/5/
And, here's the source of that demo:
var ns = {
foo: 'bar'
}
with (ns) {
// In Chrome, foo is undefined!
function thing1 () {
document.body.innerHTML +=
('undefined' == typeof foo) ?
'foo is undefined!' :
'foo = ' + foo;
}
thing1();
document.body.innerHTML += '; ';
(function (foo) {
// In Chrome, foo = bar
function thing2 () {
document.body.innerHTML +=
('undefined' == typeof foo) ?
'foo is undefined!' :
'foo = ' + foo
}
thing2();
}(foo));
}
