@ #8: Again, like it or not, this is *not* currently a bug, but what the
effective ES5.1 spec requires. It certainly does not "crash the entire
Chrome browser" either (nor is the fact that random JS code can freeze or
even kill a page anything new).
We have a change in the making for adapting to the new ES6 behaviour, but
this will be behind a flag for the time being, because it might break the
web.
