Nit: the example using for-of is buggy. It should be this in order to be equivalent to the first:

```js
function sum(y) {
  let sum = 0;

  for (let x of y)
    sum += x;

  return sum;
}
```

Although it should be possible to generate faster bytecode from the onset with this, particularly with native Arrays, Maps, and Sets (as for-each loops in Java compile to faster bytecode than the index-based equivalent, even in statically sized arrays).
