I can't reproduce any crash with the steps in #6. Peak memory consumption
is about 200 MB. (Chrome M42 Beta, x64, Linux.)
The page you mention in issue 3993 is indeed very slow, but again, no
crash. The fact that it's so slow is most likely due to the way the page
itself is implemented. I suggest you complain to its author -- or you
simply use it with smaller JSON files, as it was apparently designed for.
V8 itself (and, hence, Chrome) is perfectly able to load/parse your JSON
file, and it doesn't even take long (about half a second on my machine).
