Comment #42 on issue 90 by [email protected]: V8 doesn't stable sort
https://code.google.com/p/v8/issues/detail?id=90

Can you provide a link to specific instructions for patching a page to use a different sort? (The instructions should provide an example of patching the sort with a specific "best" stable sort.)

Why is the benchmark used in jsperf.com/stable-sort/3 the most representative benchmark? Is it well known that most arrays use small objects? Or that most arrays are unsorted most of the time?

"you have the freedom to build your own stuff"... Poorly argued. You have the freedom to build your own stuff because you have become an expert on this stuff as part of your job. We would have to sacrifice time to achieve a similar level of expertise, and we would prefer to use that expertise on other subjects.

Can you point us at the source code for the unstable and stable sorts? Can you point us at the benchmarks and unittests used to decide which sort should be used as the default sort?
