Hi,
the merge_to_branch.py script is undergoing major changes soon. It will no
longer change the file include/v8-version.h and tag the commit. A dedicated
bot will automatically take care of this. Don't be surprised. This should
eliminate a lot of race conditions and pains happening while merges are
conducted. What will happen:
1. tools/release/merge_to_branch.py changes will land
1. Old behavior still accessible via tools/release/roll_merge.py
2. A few milestones later: removal of tools/release/roll_merge.py
