Hi Vladimir, You can start contributing (again) to V8 any time you want, but if you want to be paid a salary, you'll have to involve some company to pay that salary :-) There are several companies that are paying people to contribute to V8. For Google, you can see open positions at https://careers.google.com/ -- but as far as I know, starting in a remote position may be difficult these days, and also I'm not sure if any V8-related positions are currently listed as open. Checking the recent git history, I see at least nine other organizations who have made contributions to V8 in the past month, and have presumably paid their developers for that work. I can't speak to their respective job application procedures.
