i dont think e4x will be the next SVG. there are very good libraries for using javascript on the server side(ie. nodejs) and e4x could be a killer feature of v8 even if microsoft doesnt implement it in ie. i would like to hear more from v8 developers about e4x other than simply saying "there are currently no plans...". for example, is it a problem with the architecture that makes implementing hard(or impossible) or is it just the lack of time or commiters? i guess there are many people willing to
