Thanks for the reply! I was able to build the 4.0.4 from source on the 7260 successfully, hoping that it would satisfy the "Linux and Mac OS X 10.5: the Gnu Compiler (GCC) 4.x.x" pre-requisite. Sadly it does not apparently.
The highest GCC available in the archive "sarge" repo is 3.4. I'll try next to compile 4.5.0 and hope it makes a difference!
