Hi Tom, We had a discussion recently on this topic. The main show-stopper is that non-jailbroken iOS doesn't allow to execute code from writable memory pages. And as V8 is hardly tied up to JIT compilation model (emitting compiled code on the fly), you will need to seriously change V8 -- roughly, convert it to an interpreter. I'm seriously in doubt that the result might be called "V8" -- it will be a completely different engine.
