I am not sure which v8 version is used in dart, but the patch doesn't match
our current sources (i.e. bleeding_edge). Regarding GCC: Our normal version
is 4.4, but we test manually from time to time if things work with 4.5.3
and 4.6.1, which is currently the case.
Probably you should contact the dart folks for this issue.
