Thanks for your quick response. If set library=shared only, d8 would load libv8.so from lib.target/ with no problem, so hopefully d8 should also be able to load libv8.so.<soname_version> smoothly. What's the difference in between ? Also wonder if you may add this instruction to wiki BuildingWithGYP and other people may also benefit.
