I have seen the node-fibers, recently i have suggested a feature request on nodejs issues list (https://github.com/joyent/node/issues/2982), I think in this new advent of js on client and server moving forward the standards of javascript would really help improve and reduce the learning curve new developers to js and or nodejs encounter.
