With enough effort, anything is possible ;-)
Porting V8 to another platform is a serious amount of work. The initial
port is probably several man-years of work (there are about 50K lines of
platform specific code to be ported); after that, keeping it up to date as
development goes on likely requires at least one to two full-time
developers.
The V8 team has no plans to create a SPARC port in the foreseeable future.
If a group of developers from the community is willing to take up this
project (and full responsibility for it), we would be happy to land their
patches and answer the occasional question, but please be aware that unless
you are committed to pursuing this for a while, it is probably not
worthwhile to even start with it, and also that given our current
priorities we will not be able to invest a significant amount of time into
supporting such an undertaking.
