How about CVTSS2SI, (for details, see http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/architectures-software-developer-manuals.html). As in the Windows X86 fallback, this would works without touching the MXCSR under the assumption that it's in ROUND_TO_NEAREST mode, which as far as I could see, it is, at this point.
